Save A Child In Nigeria

Save a child in Nigeria

Nigeria, the most populous country in Africa, struggles with widespread poverty, political instability, and religious extremism. Many children lack access to proper healthcare, clean water, and adequate nutrition, making them vulnerable to malnutrition and poor health.

Millions of children are out of school due to conflict, economic hardship, and gender inequality. They are also at risk of child labor, trafficking, and forced marriages, especially in rural areas. Without support, these challenges will continue to hinder their growth and potential.

The Challenges for Children in Nigeria

Suffering from widespread poverty and limited access to education, Nigeria’s children need your help.

• Only 35.6% of children aged 36-59 months receive early childhood education.
• 59% of girls aged 15 and older are literate.
• 43% of Nigerian children are engaged in child labor due to poverty, with 40% of the population living below the poverty line.
• For every 1,000 live births, 100 children die before their fifth birthday, making child mortality rates particularly high.
• In regions affected by conflict, particularly the North East, 802 schools are currently closed and nearly 500 classrooms have been destroyed, severely limiting access to education for millions of children.
